Wish Upon a Jackpot slot is a fairy-tale medley brought to you by Blueprint Gaming. It also doesn’t have a progressive jackpot, so the name is kinda misleading. We get it though, a fair name like Wish Upon a Couple of Bonus Games Random Features and Free Spins would have been a little bit too clunky, so no hard feelings.
The game looks nice - cartoonish 3D graphics, magical forest as a background, and somewhat boring symbols in the main game. This is compensated by a shitload of extra features the slot offers. There are four Fairy Tale Bonuses (chosen randomly once the bonus is activated), four randomly triggered mini-features, and a traditional wild.
Gameplay
Alright, let’s get going. First of all, there’s a wild symbol (the Frog Prince), that does exactly what wilds do - substitutes any symbol and completes a combination. Next, there’s a Fairy Godmother Spin. The Godmother (who looks like a fat old dude with huge jugs in a dress) may appear randomly during any spin, and you are offered to choose one of the three orbs to reveal your bonus.
There are several options you can get:
- Pinocchio Wilds (the wooden guy flies around the reels and turns random symbols into wilds)
- WIld Reels (the Gingerbread Man makes some reels wild)
- Puss in Wilds (which would have been an excellent name for a hardcore hitchhiking-gone-wrong adult movie, but here it’s just more wild symbols on the reels)
- Fairy Win Spin (a spin that is guaranteed to generate some winning combo)
- Bonus Feature (one of the four at random)
The bonus features include two variations of free spins (Rapunzel and Three Little Pigs), Rumpelstiltskin’s Deal Maker Bonus (basically, take the reward you’re offered or gamble to get more), and Jack and the Beanstalk bonus.
This last one tends to bring the best rewards. First you pick beans to grow the beanstalk (just like that old spam - magical pills to enlarge your stem) and increase the bet multiplier. If you get to the top, you reach the Golden Goose and choose an egg, that gives a huge payout (up to 1000 times the total bet).
Jack and the Beanstalk bonus gives the highest rewards. All you have to do is to grow the stalk, reach the skies, find the goose, grab an egg and run away. EZ.
Our Opinion
Wish Upon a Jackpot is stuffed with bonuses and random features to the top. It’s going to take you a while to see all of them. Luckily, the process is rather enjoyable, thanks to the pretty graphics and sound effects.
