Thunderstruck slot game is classics by Microgaming. “Classics” not in the meaning of game design (no bells’n fruits here), but rather in terms of popularity and players’ love. It released in 2004, got itself a sequel, and still holds a place in a “popular” section in many Microgaming casinos.
If you’ve already started humming the AC/DC song by now, you’d be disappointed - the slot game is about Norse mythology and Thor in particular. By modern standards, the game looks rather simplistic, with its cartoonish graphics, little to no symbols animation, and basic gameplay. The only features it has are the wild symbol, and the round of free spins.

Gameplay
There are 5 reels and 9 paylines in Thunderstruck slot game. The first symbol to look out for is the wild (Thor). He substitutes for other symbols to complete a winning combination, and doubles the win as he does so. Wouldn’t expect less from the thunder god, eh?
The free spins start when you get three or more goats symbols. Just in case you are curious what do the goats have to do with Thor - these guys are named Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr, and they pull his chariot (that’s not a euphemism by the way). A rather goofy way to ride, if you ask us, but if you’re a god, you probably don’t give a shit. Anyway, you get 15 free spins with all the winnings tripled, and the round can be re-triggered.
Our Opinion
Thunderstruck slot game features wild multiplier, free spins round, and Thor (the real one, not the one from the Avengers). You may say it looks like crap by today’s standards, but come on, show some respect, the thing is almost 15 years old. Check it out anyway, this game is classics.
