Reel King is one of those classic fruit-themes slots, that add a cool feature to the traditional gameplay to make it more fun. It was created by Novomatic, and is available as a stand-alone app for iOS and Android (and in online casinos of course).
The game looks rather simple, but hey, we called it “classic” for a reason. There are only two symbols that stand out among the usual plums, cherries, and card letters. The first one is wild (Jester hat), and the second one is the Jackpot pot. There’s also the Reel King feature, that triggers randomly during any spin, winning or not.
Gameplay
If not for the Reel King feature, the slot would have been completely boring. With the feature though… it’s just-so-slightly less boring. No, the feature itself is cute. The King (who’s apparently a human-slot-machine cyborg of some sort) appears on a reel, and spins a 3-reel slot machine in his chest (the three-boobed martian prostitute from Total Recall would have looked better here). If you get three Sevens (better of the same color) - you win. You spin this till you get a non-winning combination.
The boring traditional gameplay is made slightly less boring by a randomly triggered Reel King feature.
The wild symbol in the main games is standard - it just substitutes any symbol and completes a winning combination. The Jackpot pot is the highest paying symbol, and when you get full reels of it, you’ll win 10000 times your bet.
Our Opinion
Reel King is a simple classical slot machine, with cute little feature that doesn’t help much. Don’t get us wrong, it a high-quality games with nice graphics, it’s just that there’s not much to it in terms of gameplay. If you’re into classics though - this might be just what you need.
