▷ Cryptologic (WagerLogic) Casinos in the UK 🥇 Top 69 Casinos | 2020

Cryptologic (WagerLogic) Casinos can’t be found on the web now, as the company lost its independence in 2012, when Amaya Gaming swallowed it up. Up to that year, the company had been quite popular, having been in operation since 1995. They managed to create more than 200 unique gaming products, including slots, table games, progressives, poker and bingo rooms, etc.

WagerLogic used to be a subsidiary of theirs, so it isn’t just another name for the provider. After 15 years of experience, the company is still familiar to every gambler. Thankfully, you can try some of its products in many online casinos. HolyMoly Casinos have found all the information you need about this provider, its history, and products; and we have created a list of the best Cryptologic casinos (that is, websites where the games of this former provider can be found).

The History of Cryptologic

The story of Cryptologic gaming software starts as a fairy tale about two boys with a big dream. The company was founded by the brothers, Andrew and Mark Rivkin. The two young Irishmen had decided to create an application to enable safe financial transactions, but came up instead with the idea of a gaming software company. What made them decide to change their focus? Well, this question remains unanswered, as does the origin of the company name. At the time that they decided to call their company ‘Cryptologic’, there was no cryptocurrency or bitcoin hype, so we are left to wonder why they chose the name.

Cryptologic casino software appeared in 1995, in the brothers’ parents’ basement in Dublin. The company quickly picked up steam and in just one year, in 1996, it was licensed for the first time by InterCasino. That was the start of the huge popularity of Cryptologic and its gaming products. From that point on, the company began to be listed on the famous stock markets:

[LIST WITH ICONS 1]

  • 1998 - Cryptologic was listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange;
  • 2002 - Cryptologic was listed on the NASDAQ market;
  • 2003 - Cryptologic was trading on the London Stock Exchange.

This software has been demonstrated to be safe and secure, having been tested by TST, and awarded eCogra certificates. Cryptologic games have been licensed by different bodies over the years:

  • 2002 - licensed by the Isle of Man;
  • 2004 - licensed by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission.

The year 2007 was a good one for Cryptologic, as World Poker Tour Enterprises joined the company. Moreover, in the same year, the Playboy brand also launched a casino program. After 2007, the company’s popularity diminished. Perhaps they had begun to run out of steam.

After 17 years of operation, the Cryptologic company was purchased by another major Canadian provider, Amaya Gaming. The price for Cryptologic was substantial - $35.8m. Three years later, in 2015, Amaya Inc. sold all the Cryptologic games and some titles from other providers to the NYX Gaming Group. This time, the price was much higher - $119m.

There are now no Cryptologic (WagerLogic) casinos online, but some gambling websites include the provider’s products under the banner of NYX.

Cryptologic or WagerLogic?

[BADGE]

HolyMoly Casinos did some research on your behalf in order to understand the difference between Cryptologic and WagerLogic. Many mistakenly believe that these are just two names for the same company, but that isn’t in fact the case. WagerLogic used to be a subsidiary of Cryptologic and was mainly focused on payment processing (eCash). Primarily it was a B2C company that was sold to the Goldstar Acquisitionco Inc. when Cryptologic merged with Amaya.

We can’t really consider these two companies together now, as neither of them continues to exist independently and they are not even part of the same corporation.

Cryptologic Gaming Products

In general, Cryptologic (WagerLogic) casinos could count on more than 200 games of various types. After the company was swallowed up, most of the titles were withdrawn as being too outdated, or for other reasons. As an independent company, Cryptologic offered their software in downloadable mode only, but after they merged with Amaya, most of the titles became available in instant mode as well. Furthermore, you can now even play their games via mobile devices.

Let’s start with Cryptologic slots. The provider was tight with many famous companies (Marvel, DC, Universal), having multiple franchises and the rights to release such unique themed slots as:

[LIST WITH ICONS 2]

  • Blade Slot;
  • Call of Duty Slot;
  • Superman Slot;
  • Batman Slot;
  • Street Fighter Slot;
  • Forrest Gump Slot;
  • Braveheart Slot;
  • Ferris Bueller's Day Off Slot.

It’s interesting to note that none of the Marvel and DC themed slots are available anymore, as they were overshadowed by the existing comic-themed titles by Playtech. One more popular slot by Cryptologic is Sushi Express. All of these games had interesting bonus features and designs.

Cryptologic was also famous for its progressive games with huge wins, the titles including: Cleo Queen of Egypt Slot, Silver Surfer Slot, and the most famous one - Millionaire Club Slot. This last had an average jackpot of around $1.6m, enough to become a millionaire, and then some!

Cryptologic wasn’t only famous for its slots!

The company didn’t limit itself to producing slots. Table games were offered in a respectable variety, and you could have tried your hand at Cryptologic roulette, Blackjack, Baccarat, Caribbean stud poker, Red Dog, Craps, Scratch cards, Sic bo, and Casino War. There were also some variations of video poker and bingo.

All the games were multilingual, making them accessible to non-English-speakers too. As we will see, it is still possible to find titles by this provider in several online casinos.
