They have almost no info on banking, no 24/7 customer support, and a 200% welcome bonus, up to €100, with sky high wagering requirements of 80xB. Oh and one more thing, that bonus, all the games, and the whole website; is for UK citizens only. Whether the Genie is getting greedy with age, or they don't want to allow players to have fun, we have no clue. Anyway, all of this “fun” is available for the UK only, but why?
Spin Genie is a newcomer on the internet, having licenses from the UK and Alderney. Founded just a few years back, in 2014, it tries hard to offer something more than a standard casino experience. Their shares are even publicly traded on the London Stock Exchange.
This experience, however, is not available to just anyone. Even though this place holds licenses from both the UK Gambling Commission and Alderney Gambling Control Commission, it is opened to the UK players only, and the only currency they accept is GBP.
In writing our Spin Genie review, we found that they are open for UK players only. That means that it’s time to move to England or to another casino.
The website looks like a mobile application, but a nice and pretty one. Its multicolored theme and sky-blue background, can be called cute. With so many slots (we’ll get to them in detail later), we wish there were some extra filters, but the Genie fails to fulfill this wish. We can only sort by alphabet only.
Customer Support: The Support team is available via live chat, phone and email 7 days a week from 9:00 am to 11:00 pm. They’ll probably send you a birthday card, or not: they just ask your post index (zip code) for God-know-why reason in the live chat.
Banking: So yeah, where are all the banking options? If you find them, help yourself to a piece of candy. Really, upon browsing the website thoroughly, we couldn’t find any payment methods listed except for the Visa and Mastercard logos stamped at the bottom. Well, the site did mention something about Bank Transfers and Pay by Mobile option, but nothing on concrete page or separate section. There is no maximum withdrawal limit, and it’s the best thing about their banking system.
Software and Game Variety
This is where the Spin Genie review gets better. This place has popular slots from several software providers, and some original titles developed specially for this casino. Those providers are Microgaming, Netent, WMS, IGT and several more. Overall, there are more than 500 titles to choose from. So, you can find something as follows:
- Slots: Pay of the Dead, The Phantom of the Opera, Alchymedes;
- Slingo: Bar X Colossal, Gold: Boom Bingo, Magic Mine;
- Table/card games: Blackjack, Roulette, Casino Poker, Hold’em, Hi-Lo;
- Video Poker: Jacks or Better, Deuces Wild, Double Double Bonus Poker.
The last, Slingo set, is rare but funny mash-up between slots and bingo you might find funny if you like cocktails. Seems, these ones are Genie’s magical work.
Spin Genie Mobile and Live Games
They are fully adapted for mobile devices and runs smoothly on your mobile browser without any downloads. Not much else to say here, it just works the way it should.
The Genie did a great job wishing their live gaming section into existence.
Fortunately, since the last time we’ve checked, live games appeared in the casino. The Genie helped these guys develop them. The selection is great, it seems the Genie knows his work. All the classics like Roulette, Baccarat, and Blackjack are available. You’ll also find live Dream Catcher, Texas Hold’em, Casino Hold’em, Caribbean Stud Poker, and 3 Card Poker.
Bonuses and Promotions
We didn’t find many promotional offers, but you have at least something here. All registered players will get a no-deposit bonus of 50 free spins on Starburst, Gonzo’s Quest, Finn and the Swirly Spin, Twin Spin, Dead or Alive, and Reel Rush. They are available only for 7 days, and the winnings from them should be wagered 60 times (60x). The maximum you can count on here is £100.
The welcome bonus is also nice at first glance - 200%, up to £100. Then suddenly you have a look at those 80xB wagering requirements and that’s where the niceness abruptly ends. On top of that, you can’t win more than £500 from this promotion anyway sooooo, meh.
There are no other promotional offers, but you can still try the VIP program if you so desire. It has two tiers, with the second one being by invites only, and the benefits include priority withdrawals, exclusive promos, 10% cashback bonus and special events. Play like a VIP and get your VIP status apparently!
