HRwager Casino Review
HRwager Casino is a joke. Not really a funny one too. Maybe one of those that start with someone walking into a bar. We didn't even had to try hard to find what's wrong with it - the wrongs were jumping at us at every step. Horrible withdrawal terms, poor banking options, old and inconvenient lobby, few games (and some of them are really ugly), dead chat support, a sorry excuse of a welcome bonus, and an unreliable license. If there's a casino to stay away from - this is it.
HRwager Casino launched in 2012. It is licensed by the Government of Costa Rica (which is marginally better than no license at all), and accepts players from all over the world (with a footnote that it’s solely the player’s responsibility to ensure that he’s allowed to play from his jurisdiction). Sounds shady as hell, if you ask us.
The website looks nice and clean - white and red colours, convenient navigation, helpful informational section, neatly organized games. It all shatters when you actually register and log in - what appears is a hideous lobby that looks 15 years old. Talk about fancy wrappings...
The banking options are a joke - they only accept credit cards, Bitcoin, and Person to Person transfers, with the minimum deposit of $50. It’s even more ridiculous with withdrawals - credit cards are excluded altogether, and you can get no more than you deposit amount as Bitcoins, meaning you’re basically stuck with bank transfers and checks delivery.
“Oh, and you have to submit a withdrawal request via phone or live chat within business hours. AND you only get one request per month, capped at $3000.”
The support is available via phone, email, and live chat. Supposedly 24/7, but we had no luck getting any response from a chat operator, so there’s that.
Software and Game Variety
Alright, they must be really confident of themselves to give players such bullshit with withdrawals and all. It must be their games that are supposed to draw you in and hook you up. Right?
HRwager Casino is powered by SoftSwiss software, and the games suck. Not only there are just over a hundred of them - the games themself are not really impressive.
It is best seen in the slots section - some games look kinda ugly. They do have several good ones - Eye Spy, Knights & Dragons - but these feel more like exceptions.
Traditional casino games are alright though - blackjack, video poker, roulette, baccarat, craps, keno.
Mobile and Live Games
Both the mobile website and mobile lobby work more or less fine. The layout could be more convenient, but maybe it’s just us. What makes it pretty much useless though is the game choice. Not nearly impressive to start with, in the mobile casino it is limited to... 14 games. Literally 14 - 6 slots, 3 video pokers, 5 table games (not even a roulette among those). Pathetic.
Live casino is there, kinda. Let’s see what they have... Two baccarat tables - check. A banner with a busty dealer girl - check. A huge button that leads to the “NEW Live Dealer Casino” with two more baccarats and two roulette tables - check. Well, could be worse, we guess.
Bonuses and Promotions
The welcome bonus at HRwager Casino is a 500% match bonus on the first deposit up to $1500. Minimum deposit to qualify is $100. Just like with the withdrawals, you have to contact their support to claim the bonus.
Such a huge match percentage makes you think the bonus is sticky, but it’s actually not. Instead, it has way too high wagering requirements (x35 on the deposit plus bonus amount), and x4 max cashout limit.
“The bonus is not a phantom one, but they found another good way to make it useless anyway.”
